1. Liberty Bowl in Memphis, January 2nd - It was fun to go back to Memphis briefly and watch the hogs! We ate at Huey burgers and even ran into my old boss. The game was frigid cold and my seat was directly behind a huge cement column that blocked most of my view but it was fun anyways.
2. Finding out we were going to be parents, February 7th - Unfortunately I had to leave for the airport to fly out to Phoenix 45 minutes after seeing the positive pregnancy test but it was one of the most exciting days of the year!
3. Welcoming Dyer Jame Bailey into the world, March 31st - I'm so thankful for this little man and his momma and daddy! Jenessa and I have our fingers crossed Dyer and Eliza-Grace will get married one day!
4. Vacation in Destin with Scott, May 9-14 - Our last trip before becoming parents! We relaxed on the beach everyday, did a little shopping at the outlets and ate some yummy meals. We met up with our dental school friends Ed and Kim who were stationed at Fort Walton and Scott and his new fiancée who live in Chicago now but just happened to be in Destin at the same time at the Backporch for dinner and had a great time catching up with them!
5. Finding out baby k was a girl, May 20th - What a sweet day. Finally finding out we would be welcoming a daughter into the world in October made it so much more real!
6. Celebrating my best friend's wedding, May 29th - Lindsey and Erik got married at the Terry House mansion in LR and I couldn't think of a better way to spend Scott and I's 4th wedding anniversary than to be able to stand with my best friend and MOH as she got married.
7. Celebrating Eliza-Grace with friends and family at showers, August and November - Scott and I are so blessed with amazing friends, family and church families that are so generous. The amount of gifts, cards and well wishes we received was unbelievable. We are so thankful for each one of you!
8. Finishing the Rule 2 house and presenting it to the family, August 22 - What a giant project and life changing experience. On the day of the dedication and celebration, one of our ministers said this is going to be a highly emotion day your group. Maybe it was just wrapping my mind around what 6 couples planned and accomplished, thinking about a woman and child's live being changed for the better, seeing a grown man you respect so much cry while leading the service or being a highly emotional pregnant lady but I cried like a baby while my friend Tricia hugged me and cried with me.
9. Eliza-Grace's birth and finally getting to go home from the hospital, October 9 and 14th - Wow, what a precious time. Seeing so many people sharing in our joy and praying for us just makes cry. They best days in my life and also the hardest as we kept going back and forth to NICU. Sweet things like a video message from our best friends Mark and Jenessa with advise after my water broke because they were already in Dallas, call, texts, messages and visits helped us get though those days.
10. Holidays with Eliza-Grace - A baby makes all holidays more fun! See the 3 Christmas posts below.
